A surprise gender reveal and it's a....BOY!!! This family is so amazing, and now so blessed with two beautiful littles. I was lucky enough to photograph all of big sisters amazing moments, and now so blessed to get to capture little brother Jesiah as well. I am in LOVE with all of their gorgeous images, but here are just a few of my favorite images below...

He is here!!! So excited for this newborn session. I absolutely love rainbow babies, but I really love when dog siblings come in to be photographed with their new human. Be still my heart! And yes...it was a composite image for baby's safety. This was such a wonderful and unique session over all. I wish I could share more images, but here are just a few of my favorites below...

A newborn! *Squeals*
I get so excited when little bitty newborns come into my studio for a session. Each new little person is just a joy to be around, and little Miss Athena was no exception. She was PERFECT!
If you have been following my blog for awhile, you may notice I try to keep my newborn sessions simple. I truly feel that a portrait should be about the person and not about all the stuff. So, each of my newborn sessions have very few props...with the a few exceptions at the parents requests.
To me, your eye should be drawn to the details of the person...no matter how small. Their pouty lips, the peely little toes, their wrinkly little fingers...those details only last a short time and I love to capture each tiny bit for my clients.
Enjoy just a few of my favorites from this stunning newborn session below.

Believe it or not, I have been photographing this family for over 8 years now!
I love to watch families grow and evolve.
To capture each stage of their lives and preserve their memories.
This beautiful family has been a sheer joy to photograph for the last several years, and it was an honor to capture them once more.
However, this time mom and I had special plans for these amazing family photos.
For years, she and I have said "we should make an album of all our sessions together."
And guess what...
We finally did!
After this session we compiled all 8 years worth of session...ok...MOST all of the images, into a gorgeous leather bound album for her family to cherish forever.
What a wonderful way to preserve all those memories, and to watch your kids grow up right before your eyes.
If you are interested in a beautiful memory keepsake like this family, message me and let's chat about how I can help you create a one of a kind heirloom for your home.
Every once in awhile I do a call out for models so I can practice new techniques, new props, new equipment, etc. This session was one of those great sessions. A mini newborn session so I could practice. I'm sure to some it's funny to hear that I like to "Practice" this stuff...but without practice how do we perfect our craft?
I always try to squeeze in a little "practice" with my regular clients, but sometimes I want that added little time to get just what I want from a shot. So, I am very thankful little man Kayson came with his mommy to help me out. This little sweetie was just perfect for his session. He loved it WARM and snuggly in the studio, so wrapping him up was just his cup of tea and I got just the shots I had been hoping for.
Here are just a few of the beautiful images captured from this great newborn modelling session.
Oh this sweet, sweet little boy!!!
Seriously, he was the sweetest little man for his 6 month portraits. He never complained about much of anything and LOVED to smile for the camera. Apparently, he thought I was just the funniest thing. Ok...maybe he smiled for his grandma standing behind me, but still...he smile will melt your heart it's so sweet.
But I think my most favorite part of this whole session, was when mom asked for photos of her with her son. Be still my heart! There is something so special about a mother's bond with her child. I just had to capture everything. Stunning silhouettes, silly raspberry kisses, and of course the ultimate bonding moment...nursing her child.
Each image had me almost in tears as I was editing. These moments are why you hire a photographer. So to you all you mommas out there reading this....hire a photographer today and get beautiful photos taken of you with your kids. These types of moments matter more than you will ever know, and they need to be captured.
Please enjoy these favorites...
One of the best parts of doing newborn photography, is photographing a growing family. Each child adds so much in so many different ways. This new little man has added a bunch of new love to his family.
As an added bonus, I was so excited to welcome his grandparents to the session. Three generations coming together to celebrate a new life. Absolutely beautiful!
While this amazing family has three of the sweetest little boys that were so fun to capture, having photos of parents and grandparents with a new little life is priceless. These are the photos that everyone NEEDS to have taken. These are the photos I live to capture. These are the moments that you will never regret having photographed.
Enjoy all of my favorites from this amazing family newborn session.
