Maternity sessions do not always have to be outdoors or in a studio setting.
Sometimes, a maternity session is best when done at home.
Especially when you want super sexy, boudoir-style maternity photos.
Here are just a few of my favorites from this simply stunning Maternity session from my latest trip to Las Vegas.

A newborn! *Squeals*
I get so excited when little bitty newborns come into my studio for a session. Each new little person is just a joy to be around, and little Miss Athena was no exception. She was PERFECT!
If you have been following my blog for awhile, you may notice I try to keep my newborn sessions simple. I truly feel that a portrait should be about the person and not about all the stuff. So, each of my newborn sessions have very few props...with the a few exceptions at the parents requests.
To me, your eye should be drawn to the details of the person...no matter how small. Their pouty lips, the peely little toes, their wrinkly little fingers...those details only last a short time and I love to capture each tiny bit for my clients.
Enjoy just a few of my favorites from this stunning newborn session below.
As always, if you are interested in learning more about my Newborn Photography Services...just give me a call or email. I am happy to answer all your questions.

Believe it or not, I have been photographing this family for over 8 years now!
I love to watch families grow and evolve.
To capture each stage of their lives and preserve their memories.
This beautiful family has been a sheer joy to photograph for the last several years, and it was an honor to capture them once more.
However, this time mom and I had special plans for these amazing family photos.
For years, she and I have said "we should make an album of all our sessions together."
And guess what...
We finally did!
After this session we compiled all 8 years worth of session...ok...MOST all of the images, into a gorgeous leather bound album for her family to cherish forever.
What a wonderful way to preserve all those memories, and to watch your kids grow up right before your eyes.
If you are interested in a beautiful memory keepsake like this family, message me and let's chat about how I can help you create a one of a kind heirloom for your home.
Who says you can only have a Cake Smash on your 1st birthday?
This beautiful woman is a near and dear friend of mine, who just a little over a year ago lost her precious little boy. Ever since, she vowed to do things in his honor, to do things for him. Simply Beautiful!
So, not only was this photo session to celebrate 40 amazing years for her, but to also allow him to have a cake smash as well.
As you can see from some of the images, she is kissing a small heart shaped piece of glass made from her sons ashes. He came, he watched, he got messy with cake, and I am certain he was happy for his wonderful momma.
And I have to say...she had SO much fun with it all!
Please enjoy this...very unique cake smash photo session, and let me know if you have questions about making your next photography experience just as memorable.
So, birth happens where ever and whenever baby is ready, and when you are a destination photographer...who happens to also be a birth photographer...sometimes you get a call.
Sometimes, it's a good friend asking if you want to come and "just watch" her baby come into the world.
And sometimes....you might just bring your camera to said occasion!
Let me tell you...being at this beautiful little girl's birth was a dream, but was not set in stone when I traveled to Las Vegas this last time. I hoped and prayed I would be there as I had been for her big brother and sister. Yet the uncertainty made it near impossible to plan.
Then on the last few hours of my time there, I get the call. YAY!
And luck have it...she arrived just minutes before I had to race to the airport to catch my flight.
To be honest...I cried. Happy tears for getting to see her arrival, and sad tears at having to leave. It was all worth it to capture these once in a lifetime images for my dear friend and her family.
If you are expecting and looking for a birth photographer, do not hesitate to call me. I would love to discuss capturing your birth story.
Every once in awhile I do a call out for models so I can practice new techniques, new props, new equipment, etc. This session was one of those great sessions. A mini newborn session so I could practice. I'm sure to some it's funny to hear that I like to "Practice" this stuff...but without practice how do we perfect our craft?
I always try to squeeze in a little "practice" with my regular clients, but sometimes I want that added little time to get just what I want from a shot. So, I am very thankful little man Kayson came with his mommy to help me out. This little sweetie was just perfect for his session. He loved it WARM and snuggly in the studio, so wrapping him up was just his cup of tea and I got just the shots I had been hoping for.
Here are just a few of the beautiful images captured from this great newborn modelling session.
Oh this sweet, sweet little boy!!!
Seriously, he was the sweetest little man for his 6 month portraits. He never complained about much of anything and LOVED to smile for the camera. Apparently, he thought I was just the funniest thing. Ok...maybe he smiled for his grandma standing behind me, but still...he smile will melt your heart it's so sweet.
But I think my most favorite part of this whole session, was when mom asked for photos of her with her son. Be still my heart! There is something so special about a mother's bond with her child. I just had to capture everything. Stunning silhouettes, silly raspberry kisses, and of course the ultimate bonding moment...nursing her child.
Each image had me almost in tears as I was editing. These moments are why you hire a photographer. So to you all you mommas out there reading this....hire a photographer today and get beautiful photos taken of you with your kids. These types of moments matter more than you will ever know, and they need to be captured.
Please enjoy these favorites...
One of the best parts of doing newborn photography, is photographing a growing family. Each child adds so much in so many different ways. This new little man has added a bunch of new love to his family.
As an added bonus, I was so excited to welcome his grandparents to the session. Three generations coming together to celebrate a new life. Absolutely beautiful!
While this amazing family has three of the sweetest little boys that were so fun to capture, having photos of parents and grandparents with a new little life is priceless. These are the photos that everyone NEEDS to have taken. These are the photos I live to capture. These are the moments that you will never regret having photographed.
Enjoy all of my favorites from this amazing family newborn session.
Another year older for these two adorable little boys! I love photographing this family each year, and watching them grow. This was the first year we have had them here in the studio for photos, and they did AMAZING! Of course...while balloon bribery is always a good way to get a couple smiles, we really didn't have to do much more than just tickle little toes for most of these happy shots. Two little boys with SO much personality!!
My ultimate favorites...the family photos. These little boys are so in love with their momma, and they love being silly with their daddy. Their personalities just jump out of every photo. Each image captured shows just how happy and loving this family truly is....priceless!
Please enjoy just a few of my favorites from this beautiful in-studio family session.
It is so hard to believe that little Miss Celisse is 9 months old!! Each time she comes in to my
studio for another milestone growing baby session, I'm just amazed at how fast she is growing. And she has
definitely got personality! She was so curious about everything in the studio, and
loved it when I showed her her photos on the back of my camera. LOVE!
Her mommy always has the cutest little outfits for her sessions, too! But the little Easter outfit this time around...totally adorable! I just had to get Peter Cottontail down for a couple pics with her. Funny part was...I don't think she wanted him stealing any of her spotlight. So funny!

Oh. My. Gosh! I have been so excited for this sweet little princess! Ok...I get excited for all my sweet little tiny clients, but this session was special to me as the couple volunteered themselves to be my models for a day. I had some pretty little hair ties to try out, and I wanted to get more practice on some poses of baby with a parent. As a photographer you have to constantly practice your art and keep up-to-date with changes in technology, equipment, styles, etc. So every once in awhile I like to have a model call-out so I can "practice" just a little bit or get vendor photos for new props.
I can't thank this couple enough for being such amazing models for me both with their maternity session and with their sweet little newborn princess. This precious little girl was just perfect for her session...and mom and dad weren't too bad themselves. Ha! The images came out amazing, and again...I'm just so grateful to all my models.
Check out these few special images captured during this amazing newborn modelling session. Love!
I have to say that when a client tells me "I have modelling experience" or "I used to be a model", I get a little nervous. Sounds silly, but I do. However, I do love that fact that models LOVE to pose it up for the camera, and this lovely lady was up for anything! She used to do quite a bit of modelling, but has since found a different path in life. However, she still had those amazing instincts and knew just what I wanted from each pose. It was amazing!
With all that modelling experience though, being a mom is to be her greatest adventure. You see, her sweet little babe is quite a miracle. One she never thought possible, which made this session even more special.
In her consultation with me she said, "I just want it all captured. Every detail. I want simple and elegant photos, with a touch of casual." and I think we captured just that for this beautiful momma-to-be. Every detail captured, and I can't wait to get her sweet little one in here for some photos soon.

This amazing family have been clients since we opened our doors here in Las Vegas. I have watched their family grow and change for years. It's so special! We have done all types of sessions, but this year the Art District in Downtown Vegas called our names. So many beautiful wall murals and stunning sculptures. It really fit their style for this time in their lives. With a teenage son, two other wild and crazy little ones, a busy schedule with lots of activities...this mom said the art downtown described their life perfectly...organized ciaos full of color and love. Beautiful!
Take a minute to check out a few of my favorites from their gorgeous family session.

Oh how I anxiously awaited this momma's birth. In her consultation, we just hit it off and I was so excited to meet her new little surprise baby. Would it be a boy or a girl? Who would he/she look like? This couple already had two ADORABLE kids...a little boy and a little girl, and they were both so excited to meet their new baby.
It was evening when I got the call to head on over. Packed up, hopped in the car, and headed out with the directions my phone gave me.....which happened to be the opposite side of town from where the couple actually lived. Yes. That's right...technology fail, and I ended up in North Las Vegas, instead of where I should have been. *sigh* I quickly used a different mapping app and found the actual location, drove like a crazy person, and made it there in plenty of time. This little one was taking it's time....phew!
The midwife, Miss Marvelys Lopez, was there with her assistant and student midwife. Everyone was relaxed and prepping for a baby.
Within a couple hours, mom was ready for the tub. Just 45 minutes later...a beautiful baby boy entered the world. Big brother was so happy to see his baby brother that he immediately ran to the bedroom, grabbed a diaper and clothes, and brought them out to put on his new baby. Ha! It was truly a wonder to watch this beautiful family grow to a family of 5.
